Do not guess what changed in the song
Before the next rehearsal, you bring back one of the older songs. Someone remembers adding a note to the bridge; someone else thinks the key changed — but nobody is sure what happened or when. It would be better not to rebuild the story from memory.
Song history gives you two tables to look back through: above, you can see when, in which list and in which key you played the song; below, you can see who changed the chords, lyrics or metadata and when. That gives you a shared starting point before you edit further.
Three steps are enough:
- Open the song, then open the Menu in the global header.
- Turn on Song history in the song quick actions.
- Scroll to the bottom of the song and check the usage table, then the change log.
History does not restore an earlier version, but it makes clear what happened, so you can discuss the next step with the team precisely.
Try it with the next older song: before you start guessing, look at the history together. Find the details in the Songs chapter of the manual.
