Do not keep choosing the same song
The rehearsal list is almost ready when someone asks: have we played this song a little too often lately? It helps not to rely on memory when there is still time to choose something fresher.
The song library's Played often marker shows songs that appeared at least twice as often as your group average in the past 90 days — and at least four times. It makes it easier to spot when another song may be a better choice.
Three steps are enough:
- Open the Song library.
- Look for the orange edge and flame Played often marker on a card.
- For the next setlist, consider a song without that marker.
The marker does not block anything: if a song fits the occasion, you can still add it. It simply helps you make a deliberate choice about repetition.
Try it before your next shared preparation: before you finalize the list, look together at which favorite has had a little too much time in the spotlight. Details are in the Song library manual chapter.
