Keep your familiar chord shapes when the key changes
In the middle of rehearsal, the singer asks to raise the song by a key. It will suit their voice better, but you already know exactly how the familiar C, F and Am shapes feel under your fingers. You do not want to look for new forms at the last minute.
A capo lets the sounding key change while your familiar chord shapes stay in your hands. Chords365 adjusts the displayed shapes to the chosen fret and remembers the capo position for each song.
Three steps are enough:
- Open the song and set the key that is comfortable for the singer.
- Tap the With capo button in the bottom-right corner.
- Use the − and + buttons to set the fret where you place the capo.
The song stays in the same sounding key; only the displayed chords adapt to the capo.
Try it at the next key change: first see whether a capo keeps your reliable shape. Find the details in the Transposition and capo section of the manual.
