When your rehearsal setlist needs a fresh idea

2026-08-31
A rehearsal table with a guitar, unlabeled music sheets marked by coloured dots and small wooden tokens.

It is Tuesday evening. You have two certain songs for Sunday’s rehearsal, but your ideas run out at the third. You do not want another twenty minutes of searching; you just need a fresh starting point that still suits your team.

Random song selection draws from your own song library. You choose how many songs to request and can narrow the pool by favourites, tempo, key or tags. The random choice is not a detour; it helps you get moving.

Three steps are enough:

  • Open the setlist in editing (MD) mode and choose Random song selection.
  • Enter how many songs you want and, if useful, set one or two filters.
  • Choose Add random songs.

The selected songs go to the end of the list. It never chooses a song already there and never overwrites the work you have made so far.

Try it next time you get stuck in the middle of preparing a rehearsal: ask for a few filtered ideas from your own library, then continue with the one that speaks to you. Details are in the setlist chapter of the manual.
